A 19th century gold turquoise necklace, with diamond and pearl accent bird and heart locket.

<li>Overall condition good.
<li>Altered, with various 19th century components.
<li>Small areas of discolouration.
<li>Tassel drops show alterations to fittings to reverse.
<li>One drop with small dent.
<li>Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Bird with ruby cabochon eyes.
<li>Seed pearl untested for natural origin.
<li>Estimated diameter of seed pearl 3.4mms.
<li>Turquoise are mostly well matched with a medium blue through slightly greenish blue hues. Few appear a deeper green hue.
<li>Length of heart locket (excluding surmount) 2.4cms.
<li>Estimated dimensions of bird 3.4 by 2.1cms.
<li>Electronically tests as approximately 14-18ct gold, turquoise mounts electronically test as predominantly silver.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
