A late Victorian gold old-cut diamond and cannetille brooch, with matching earrings.
Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct, G-I colour, VS-SI clarity.
Length of brooch 4cms. Length of earrings 3.6cms. 34.1gms.

<li>Overall condition good.
<li>General slight discolouration.
<li>Slight wear to the gilding.
<li>Diamonds appear fairly bright and well matched.
<li>Brooch with glazed reverse and hook to suspend a drop.
<li>Earrings with hook fittings for pierced ears.
<li>One hook slightly dented.
<li>Small, shallow dent to edge of brooch.
<li>Very slight green discolouration to one earring.
<li>Electronically testing as approximately 17 and 21ct gold. Probable interference from gilt finish.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
