<b>ROLEX - an Oyster Perpetual Submariner military issue "MilSub" wrist watch.</b> Circa. 1973. Stainless steel case with calibrated bezel. Case width 39mm. Illegible reference 55**, serial 3826501. Signed automatic calibre 1520. Black dial with luminous hour markers. Fitted to a dark green nylon 'NATO' style strap with stainless steel pin buckle. <i>To include diving log and certificates and photographs relating to the serving diver. <br/>

This Rolex Oyster Perpetual military issue Submariner (MilSub) is from a batch issued to the British military between 1974 and 1976. The person who was issued the watch received it a few years later and his Army diving log shows that the timepiece was used between 1980 to 1990. The watch was brought to us directly from the gentleman who was an Army diver and the lot includes his diving certificates, Army diver’s log book, photographs taken while on service and even his Royal Engineers Diver jumper. </i>

<li>Movement is currently functioning.
<li>Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye.
<li>Dial shows some small marks, luminous markers show some discolouration.
<li>Hands show some light marks and tarnishing when viewed under a x4 loupe. Hands appear to be service replacements.
<li>Glass has some minor scratches and marks when viewed under a 4x loupe.
<li>Case shows marks, some scratches and dints. Case has be polished in the past. Military marks appear to have been polished from the case back. Case back is dated 1.72. Bezel is missing its luminous 0 marker and appears to be a service replacement. Fixed bars look to have been removed and reinstated in the watches life. Model number is 5513 and serial number dates the watch to a batch of 'MilSubs' that was issued between 1974 and 1976.
<li>Crown screws down and has scratches and dints.
<li>Strap appears to be in good condition with minor marks and creasing.
<li>Buckle appears to be in good condition with minor marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe.<p>
<p>Lot to include the diving log from the diver who was issued the watch in the Army, his diving certificates, photographs of the diver while on service, his diving patches and his Royal Engineers Diver jumper.<p>
