An early 20th century gold opal and diamond necklace, with later back chain.
Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct, H-I colour, SI clarity.

<li>Overall condition good. General light marks and wear.
<li>Back chain appears unoriginal to the front section.
<li>Diamonds well matched.
<li>Diamonds bright.<p>
<li>Some opals appear to have some crazing and fine internal fissures. Durability may be somewhat impaired.
<li>Opals appear trasnlucent and show a fairly strong play-of-colour, of predominantly blue to green hues.
<li>Opals with minor abrasions.<p>

<li>Metal tests as approximately 15ct gold to the gem-set area and 9ct gold to the back chain. |
