An early 20th century 18ct gold graduated opal and old-cut diamond bangle.
Calculated total opal weight 3.56cts.

<li>Overall condition fair to good.
<li>Diamonds bright and appear well matched.
<li>Opals showing good play of colour, mainly in the blue-green spectrum and translucent.
<li>Two opals chipped, one of which is also cracked. Others with surface abrasion. One loose.
<li>Estimated opal weight based on following dimensions: 5.6 by 4.1 by 1.6mms, 7.6 by 5.9 by 3mms, 9 by 6.6 by 3.2mms, 7.6 by 6 by 2.8mms, 6.8 by 4.9 by 2.2mms, 5.2 by 4 by 2mms. The loose opal weighing 0.34ct.
<li>Some localised discolouration. The band and mount testing as 18ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
