A late 19th century silver and gold, rose-cut diamond shrimp brooch with ruby eye.
Length 4.7cms. 16.5gms.

<li>Clasp is a later replacement.
<li>One rose-cut diamond deficient to tail.
<li>Minor pitting and very small fissure visible to reverse.
<li>Diamonds appear fairly bright and well matched.
<li>The ruby appears a medium pinkish red hue, moderate abrasions.<p>
<li>The reverse electronically tests as approximately 12-14ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
