A late Victorian gold snake locket, the mouth suspending a foil back ruby and rose-cut diamond pendant.

<li>Surface scratches and slight wear in keeping with age and use.
<li>Glass deficient from the locket reverse.
<li>Diamonds appear relatively bright and well matched.
<li>Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Ruby is in a closed back, foil back mount and appears a bright, deep medium pinkish red hue.
<li>Electronically tests as approximately 19ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
