A late 19th century silver and gold, split pearl, rose-cut diamond, ruby and sapphire butterfly brooch.

<li>Replacement brooch fittings.
<li>Minor repairs to the legs.
<li>Diamonds appear bright and well matched. Varied inclusions. One with small nick.
<li>Cut setting of diamonds prevents accurate weight, colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Rubies are a well matched, bright, moderately purplish red hue.
<li>Sapphires are a light medium blue hue, slight variation in saturation.
<li>Pearl to body probable replacement, glue visible at mount.
<li>Split pearls show varied discolouration.
