A mid to late 19th century 18ct gold baroque pearl necklace, by Castellani.

Length 172cms. 42.7gms.
Pearls untested for natural origin.

<li>Some links slightly bent, some links containing pearls possibly stretched.
<li>Clasp replaced with later spring ring clasp, stamped 9ct.
<li>One link next to clasp has been filed, other link next to clasp with maker's mark of crossed Cs.
<li>One of the scrolling panels at approximately the opposing end of the clasp is deficient, with later connecting link.
<li>Pearls untested for natural origin.
<li>One pearl with small hole in the nacre.
<li>Pearls with varied discolouration and lustre. Estimated length 10.5 to 4.6mms.
