A late Victorian silver and gold, sapphire and vari-cut diamond brooch.
May be worn as a pendant.
Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 0.45ct, G-I colour, VS-SI clarity.

<li>General light marks and wear to metal. Claws unevenly worn but secure.
<li>Jeweller-type scratch marks to brooch fittings.
<li>Brooch fittings unscrew. Small hinged loop to suspend a surmount, no surmount present.
<li>One single-cut diamond replacement.
<li>Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate size, colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Three diamonds chipped.
<li>Sapphire is a bright, medium deep blue hue.<p>
<li>Sapphire with small abrasions to table facet and minor nick to girdle.<p>
<li>Sapphire approximate diameter 5.1mms.
