An early 20th century 18ct gold opal and old-cut diamond cluster ring.
Opal estimated dimensions 8.7 by 7.2 by 3mms.
Estimated total diamond weight 1ct, G-H colour, VS2-P1 clarity.

<li>Scratches and small marks. Varied discolouration.
<li>Diamonds appear bright and well matched.
<li>One with small chip at the girdle.
<li>Opal has a light yellow body colour. Very good play of colour across a range of hues.
<li>Opal is chipped.
<li>Length of ring head 1.4cms.
<li>Electronically tests as approximately 17-18ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
