An early 20th century woven seed pearl sautoir necklace, with stylised foliate gold, emerald, pearl and carved dyed rock crystal spacer, seed pearl tassels.

<li>Discolouration and small surface scratches to the gold.
<li>Seed pearls untested for natural origin.
<li>Seed pearls appear fairly well matched. Variation in lustre.
<li>Emerald beads are a light medium slightly yellowy green and medium deep slightly bluish green, varied colouration and inclusions.
<li>Estimated length of emerald beads 8 and 8.9mms.
<li>Estimated diameter of pearl spacers 4.1 and 4.3mms.
<li>Pearls untested for natural origin.
<li>Dyed beads are variously carved, generally abstract designs. Approximate lengths 9.7 and 11mms.
<li>Approximate length of tassels (including spacer gems and gold mounts) 13cms.
<li>Mounts with stylistic elements reminiscent of Arts & Crafts through to Egyptian Revival with stylised foliate, ropetwist crescent and stylised lotus flower motifs.
<li>Electronically tests as approximately 13ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
