A composite 19th century gold foil back garnet fringe necklace. Length 39.5cms. 23.5gms.

<li>Clasp shows small dents.
<li>Back half of the necklace is later to the front, garnets appear slightly different shapes and hues, reverse show different hues to the metal.
<li>Garnets appear a fairly well matched slightly brownish red though reddish purple. Varied tone and saturation. Minor abrasions.
<li>Length of central drop 3.8cms.
