A mid to late 19th century 18ct gold old-cut diamond and enamel scarab beetle fob watch, with ruby eyes and push-button wings.

<li>General light marks and wear. One leg deficient.
<li>Enamel generally with few minor abrasions, enamel near eyes with moderate wear and areas deficient.
<li>Diamonds are bright, lively and well matched.
<li>Rubies are a deep pink hue, well saturated with good clarity.
<li>Rubies with minor abrasions and nibbling to facet edges.
<li>Yellow metal tests as approximately 22ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
