An early 20th century platinum, graduated natural pearl and old-cut diamond knife-edge necklace.
With report 22044, dated 23rd August 2022, from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory, stating natural, saltwater, largest 7.5-7.6mm width, 6-7mm depth.
Estimated total diamond weight 5.65cts, H-M colour, VS2-P1 clarity.
French assay marks. Length 39cms. 25.3gms.

<li>Surface scratches and small marks.
<li>Clasp and safety chain presumed later.
<li>Clasp when worn is concealed.
<li>One connecting bar obviously repaired, uneven base line, slight discolourations.
<li>Couple of probable repairs reconnecting connecting bars to mounts, slight discolouration.
<li>Variously struck with dog head mark, some indistinct. No obvious maker's mark.
<li>Minor wear to claws.
<li>Diamonds appear bright and fairly well matched, mostly toward the mid to lower colour grades.
<li>One diamond with small nicks at the girdle.
<li>Estimated diamond weight range 0.50ct to 0.20ct.

<li>Estimated diameter of pearls 7.6 to 5mms.
<li>Pearls appear semi-baroque through bouton shape, silvery white and cream hues. Strong to moderate rose and green overtones. Varied lustre.
<li>Some with discolouration near mounts.
<li>Case shows some dirt and staining to the silk. General wear. Some losses to exterior covering.
