An 18ct gold necklace, converted from a late 19th century ruby crescent moon, with old-cut diamond spacers.

Estimated total diamond weight 0.15ct.
Chain with hallmarks for Birmingham. Length 46.7cms. 7.6gms.

<li>General light marks and wear. Suspension rings to sides of crescent moon and chain are modern addition. One single-cut diamond replacement to crescent moon.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Rubies are a deep slightly purplish red hue, well saturated with good clarity.
<li>Stones with minor abrasions and nibbling to facet edges.
