Lot Description

A late Georgian/William IV 15ct gold banded agate mourning fob, with hinged glazed compartment, the agate carved to depict a dog at a sundial with motto 'Le Tems Passe L'Amitié Reste'.

Engraved 'Arthur Tyrwhitt Drake, Ob't 15 Sept'r 1831, At 31.'
Length 2.6cms. 9.9gms.

Arthur was the brother of the final MP of the 'rotten borough' of Amersham.
