An early 19th century foil back yellow sapphire ring, with near-period rose-cut diamond shoulders and band.
Estimated dimensions of sapphire 12.9 by 10.5mms.

Condition Report
<li>Scratches and small marks. Varied discolouration.
<li>Ring head appears a yellow hue, the band with more of a rose hue.
<li>Band resized, slight discolouration to the back of the band. Slightly off round.
<li>Diamonds appear relatively well matched.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Two diamonds with small nicks.
<li>Sapphire is in a foil back setting and appears a light to medium yellow hue. Window effect to the centre. Deterioration to the foil.
<li>Sapphire mount electronically tests as approximately 16ct gold. Band electronically tests as approximately 17-18ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
