A Georgian gold posy ring, with later cat's-eye chrysoberyl cabochon.

Posey reads 'Knit in one by Christ alone'
Maker's mark SR. Ring size P1/2. 2.6gms.

<li>Scratches and small marks. Varied discolouration.
<li>Maker's mark SR in Gothic script, worn.
<li>Posey script is worn, initials partially obscured by repair.
<li>Band has been altered/resized near the later gem, area of rose gold.
<li>Chrysoberyl is in a closed back mount. Slight chatoyant effect, at oblique angle. Small nick. Moderate abrasion. Wear to the mount.
<li>Band width 3.1mms.
<li>Band tests as approximately 21ct gold. Gem mount tests as approximately 15ct gold. Repair tests as approximately 9-10ct gold.
