A 19th century gold rock crystal sphere cluster locket brooch. Diameter 4.4cms. 25.7gms.

<li>Varied discolouration, some significant.
<li>Later safety chain. Replacement base metal pin.
<li>One of the beads to the surround is glass, the rest appears to be rock crystal.
<li>Central domed rock crystal is hinged. Diameter of locket section 2cms.
<li>Centre of brooch electronically tests as approximately 18ct gold.
<li>Supports for the rock crystal beads electronically test as approximately 7ct gold, presumed gilt metal.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
