A late 19th century gold snake-link necklace, with alternating pave-set coral dome and coral drop fringe.
Length 38.4cms. 41.2gms.

<li>Scratches, small marks. Varied discolouration, wear to gilt. Some acid testing.
<li>Coral cabochon domes are on hooks, detachable.
<li>Central dome with locket reverse, glass deficient.
<li>Coral untested for natural colour origin.
<li>Coral cabochons appear mostly well matched, slightly mottled from light medium orange through medium deep reddish orange.
<li>Length of coral drops 2.2 and 2.3cms.
<li>Few mounts with glue visible.
<li>Chain electronically tests as approximately 15ct gold. Mounts and clasp electronically test as appoximately 21-22ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
