A 19th century 15ct gold armorial intaglio sardonyx and horseshoe motif ring, with graduated curb-link band and hidden key.

<li>Surface scratches and small marks. Traces of the gilt finish remain.
<li>Engraving appears crisp. Chips to one edge of the agate. Chips do not impede the design.
<li>Estimated dimensions of the horseshoe 1.6 by 1.4cms.
<li>Key is slightly loose, does not independantly stay in ring head.
<li>Stamped 18K to reverse of ring head, electronically tests as approximately 15-16ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
