A late 19th century 18ct gold snake locket, the rock crystal reverse carved and painted with monogram and coronet.
Length 3.6cms. 17.7gms.

<li>Scratches and small marks. Wear to the gilt finish.
<li>Small casting marks to the reverse of the snake.
<li>Monogram appears to include the letters KEC with an Earls crown.
<li>Paint appears to be blue, white and gilt, slight losses to the paint.
<li>Rock crystal to the reverse of the locket is deficient. Mount appears in good condition.
<li>Red gem eyes significantly abraded across the entire surface.
<li>Stated length includes surmount loop. Approximate diameter of snake 2.7cms.
<li>Electronically tests as approximately 18ct gold.
