An early to mid 19th century gold shallow old-cut diamond ring, with foliate sides.

Ring size O. 1.8gms.

<li>Scratches and small marks.
<li>Significant wear to the ring band, splits visible. Possible soft solder repairs.
<li>Diamond in a closed back, presumed foil back mount.
<li>Estimated dimensions 7.2 by 6mms. Unable to ascertain depth due to setting.
<li>Diamond with numerous small chips at the girdle.
<li>Electronically tests as approximately 9-10ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
