Lot Description

An early 19th century 18ct gold engraved snake bangle, with Colombian emerald crest and diamond point eyes.

With report 5783-904, dated 4th January 2023, from GCS, stating Colombia, indications of minor clarity enhancement, estimated weight 1ct.
French assay marks. Inner diameter 5.8cms. 13.1gms.

<li>Small dents to the back of the bangle.
<li>Deep file marks to the back of the head and to the inside of the bangle just next to the coiled section. Slight general acid discolouration to the head.
<li>Appears double struck to the tip of the tail with a rams head mark.
<li>Diamonds well matched.
<li>Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Emerald appears a vibrant, deep medium slightly bluish green. Small chip to a kite facet.
