A mid to late 19th century gold cannetille 'ROMA' brooch. Length 5.6cms. 12.1gms.

<li>Scratches and small marks. Varied discolouration, minor pitting.
<li>Small dents to either end on the sides, one with small split.
<li>Moderate losses to the cannetille to the outer surround.
<li>Electronically tests as approximately 18ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
