A late Victorian gold split pearl cross pendant, with pierced surround.

Condition Report
Scratches and small marks. Shallow dents. General dirt and discolouration.
Slight dents/bends to the surrounds.
Small loss to the pierced section at a corner of the top arm of the cross.
Later replacement surmount loop.
Stated length includes surmount loop. Length of cross 6.2cms.
Split pearls appear fairly well matched, some discolouration.
Electonically tests as approximately 22ct gold, presumed interference from gilt finish.
Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
