A 19th century gold mounted shell cameo brooch, carved to depict Perseus saving Andromeda from the sea monster, with Medusa head in hand.

Shell shows few fine surface marks, general dirt.
Shell has minimal fine cracks.
Mount electronically tests as approximately 12ct gold.
