A 19th century gold foil back amethyst and split pearl cluster ring, with replacement band.

Condition Report
Scratches and small marks.
Amethyst is in a closed back, foil mount and appears a medium pinky purple.
Minor abrasions. Glue-like substance visible to edges of the mount.
Split pearls appear fairly well matched, minor discolourations.
Replacment band. Repairs/resize, discolourations. Soft solder at shoulders, one shoulder currently loose. Band slightly off round. File marks to outside of the band.
Mount electonically tests as approximately 14-15ct gold. Band electronically tests as approximately 9ct gold.
Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide and with caution, as false readings are possible.
