A late 19th century gold snake armlet, with sapphire crest and ruby eyes.
Approximate diameter 5.5cms. 60.4gms.

Condition Report
Slight surface marks. General discolouration.
Shallow dent to the underside of the snakes head.
Body of the snake is dented at three intervals.
Width of body 0.7cm.
Sapphire is in a closed back mount and appears a dark, deep blue. Colour zoning.
Rubies appear a well matched bright pinky red.
Electronically tests as approximately 19.5ct gold, possible gilt finish interference.
Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
