Lot Description
A late Georgian/early Victorian gold mounted shell cameo brooch, carved to depict the Triumph of Love, Cupid in a chariot led by goats.
Length 2.8cms. 4.4gms.

Scratches and small marks.
Later brooch fittings, slight soft solder visible. Possible conversion.
Shell has fine surface wear. Tip of one goat horn possibly nicked.
Mount electronically tests as approximately 17ct gold, later fittings test lower.
