A Georgian gold hairwork mourning ring depicting an urn and weeping willow, with amethyst surround, the black enamel band reading 'Cath Clarke Ob 16 Jan 1773 Ae82.'

Condition Report
Surface scratches and minor marks. Dent to the back of the ring head.
Enamel to band with damages where the band joins the head. General surface abrasion.
One amethyst deficient.
Amethyst are in closed, presumed foil back and appear a moderately well matched slightly pinkish purple.
Amethyst with mostly minor to moderate abrasions, one with small nibbles.
Hair is in a silvery white hue. Slight glue/water damage visible.
Length of ring head 1.4cms.
