A Victorian gold, opal, emerald and ruby spider brooch.
Opal estimated dimensions 18.8 by 11.6 by 2.5mms.

Surface scratches. Varied discolouration.
Wear to the gilt finish, predominantly to the legs.
Emerald is in a closed, presumed foil back mount and appears a light slightly yellowish, bluish green.
Opal has white through dark grey body colour, central area of matrix. Good to fair play of colour across a range of hues.
Opal is cracked in two across the centre, small associated nicks/chips.
Rubies are a well matched pinky red.
Electronically tests as approximately 12ct gold.
