Lot Description

A late 19th century 18ct gold diamond point and 'Limoges' enamel brooch.

French assay marks.
Length 2.6cms. 6.1gms.

General discolouration.
Later safety chain, slight soft solder visible.
Diamonds appear bright and well matched.
Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
One diamond point deficient.
Enamel is in the 'Limoges' or pate de verre style, white on brown depicting a putto.
Traces of a tambourine or similar to his upper hand.
Traces of a monogram at approximately the 5 o clock position, reading CJ or CF.
