Full Lot Description

An early 20th century gold compass fob.

Length 3.3cms. 3.7gms.

Total lot weight: 3.7

Surface scratches, dents and noticeable discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.

Glazed panel on one side with large crack, in need of attention. The other side with fair abrasion, surface scratches and nick/nibbles.

Jump ring to top of fob is not soldered shut, may require attention.

Electronically tests as 9ct gold.

Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.

Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide with caution, as false readings are possible.
