Lot Description
A mid 19th century gold citrine brooch, with textured bicolour gold and seed pearl grape vine surround.
Citrine calculated weight 32.30cts, based on estimated dimensions of 26.2 by 17.8 by approximately 12.4mms.
Length 6.5cms. 23.9gms.

Condition Report
Surface scratches and minor marks.
central section previously held in place with three wires connecting to the back of the outer surround to three places.
Soft solder visible to the front of the piece where leaves connect and to an area of the reverse.
Citrine appears a bright, deep medium slightly yellowish orange. Minor abrasions.
Seed pearls untested for natural origin.
Seed pearls are slightly varied in size, fairly well matched in colour. Fair lustre.
Electronically tests as approximately 15-16ct gold.
