A late Victorian gold ruby and diamond hinged bangle.
Central ruby calculated weight 0.72ct, based on estimated dimensions of 5.5 by 5 by 2.8mms.

Condition Report
Surface scratches and small marks.
Repairs and alterations visible. Discolouration noticeable at the sides, slight thinning and shallow dents to the back-half of the bangle.
Some wear to claws, may benefit from attention.
One single-cut diamond replacement.
Diamonds appear bright and fairly well matched.
Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
Rubies appear well matched with a medium deep moderately purplish red.
Minor abrasions, two with small nicks.
Width 0.6cm.
Electronically tests as approximately 15-17ct gold.
Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
