An open face pocket watch by Joshua Bates. 18ct yellow gold case, hallmarked Chester 1899. Case width 44mm. Signed key wind movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Gilt dial with Roman numeral hour markers. 78g. Together with a yellow metal chain, testing as 14ct gold. 32g.

Movement is not currently functioning. The balance appears intact.
Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible when viewed under a 4x loupe.
Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches.
Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing.
Glass has scratches and marks.
Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints.
Hinges appear intact.
