A 19th century gold locket, containing an articulated model of an elastic horse collar.
Engraved with an image of a horse and text 'Presented by McBride & Fisher to C.F. Gardner Esq. nahant Harold Road, Upper Norwood, Crystal palace, England.', the model engraved 'Elastic Horse Collar, April 16th 1888.'

Condition Report
Surface scratches and minor marks.
Red velvet to interior.
Electronically tests to exterior and horse collar as approximately 12ct gold. Interior edge tests as approximately 16ct gold, presumed interference from gilt finish.
Length of oval locket 3.6cms.
Length of horse collar model 3.3cms.
