Lot Description
A late Victorian gold enamel, sapphire cabochon, pearl, ruby and rose-cut diamond dragonfly and crescent moon brooch.
Length 3.9cms. 9.8gms.
Pearl untested for natural origin.

Condition Report
Scratches and small marks. General discolourations.
Probable replacement brooch fittings.
One set of wings is loose at one end, rotates noticeably, soft solder at functioning join.
Enamel shows few small nicks, one wing has enamel almost entirely replaced with nail polish or similar.
Diamonds appear fairly bright and well matched.
Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
Pearl untested for natural orgin.
Pearl is drilled.
Pearl appears a cream, strong blue overtones. Uneven surface. Approximate diameter 6.1mms.
Sapphire appears a medium blue.
Sapphire appears ill-fitting to the mount.
Rubies appear well matched with a medium pinky red. One with minor nick.
