Lot Description
A 19th century gold, diamond and blue enamel brooch, designed as an old and rose-cut diamond cluster with Marquess' crown surmount and similarly-designed drop.
Principal diamond weight 1.71cts, estimated 'yellow' colour, P1 clarity.
Length 6.3cms. 15.4gms.
Diamond untested for natural colour origin.

Replacement brooch fittings.
Drop presumed altered.
Various enamel losses and abrasion.
Diamonds appear relatively bright and well matched.
Estimated total non-principal old-cut diamond weight 0.20ct.
Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
Electronically tests to reverse of main panel as approximately 18ct gold (replacement fittings untested).
