Surface scratches and small marks.
The two surmount loops are not original to the set, each set with old-cut diamonds, one appears late Victorian set in silver and gold, one diamond chipped, the other surmount early to mid 20th century.
Length of surmount loops 1.1 and 1.3cms.
Diamonds appear bright and mostly fairly well matched, few diamonds appear noticeably yellow.
Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds/diamond points prevents accurate weight, colour and clarity assessment.
Diamonds untested for natural colour origin.
In no particular order:
First bracelet: two diamond points deficient, seventeen diamonds with areas of heavy abrasion/nicks/chips.
Second bracelet: nine diamonds with areas of heavy abrasion/nicks/chips.
Third bracelet: one diamond point deficient, eighteen diamonds with areas of heavy abrasion/nicks/chips.
Fourth bracelet: eleven diamonds with areas of heavy abrasion/nicks/chips.
Pendant spacer with three rose-cut diamonds chipped/nicked, pear-shape old-cut diamonds with abrasion to facet-edges.
Diamond spacer link (used in conjunction with the pendant spacer) has two diamond points deficient, three old-cut diamonds with small chips/scuffs.
Approximate width (at widest) 1.1cms.
Electronically tests to mounts as platinum, tests to clasp tongues as approximately 18ct gold, unable to gain accurate readings from clasp mounts, read as a mix of platinum and gold.
Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide and with caution, as false readings are possible.
