A late Victorian gold griffin brooch, with silver and gold rose-cut diamond wings and ruby eye.
French re-strike marks.
Length 4.8cms. 20.3gms.

Surface scratches and minor marks.
File scratch at the French re-strike mark on the pin.
Shallow file marks to the top of the griffins head.
Small file marks to the back of the back wing.
One wing tip appears bent, possible repaired, slight discolouration.
Apparent post or lower component deficient to the piece
Diamonds appear bright and well matched.
Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate weight, colour and clarity assessment.
One small diamond deficient.
One diamond with shallow chip.
Length of apparent longest diamond 4.7mms.
Ruby appears a bright pinky red.
