A Georgian foil-back garnet brooch. Length 6.7cms. 21.5gms.

Surface scratches and minor marks. General discolourations and dirt. Some glue visible to reverse.
Later replacement brooch fittings, slide fittings remain.
Garnets are foil back and appear a fairly well matched, bright, slightly purplish through purplish red.
One nopticeable replacement, ill-fitting to the mount. Few possible further replacement gems.
Garnets show minor to moderate abrasion.
