Lot Description
Victorian gold fancy-link bracelet, suspending a diamond and emerald cross locket.
Estimated diamond weight 0.45ct, H-I colour, VS2-SI1 clarity.
Later 14ct gold import marks for London, 1989 to clasp.
Length 24.2cms. 73.3gms.
With fitted R&S Garrard & Co. case.

Condition Report
Surface scratches.
General small dents to the front of the locket.
Connecting links show small dents, wear where the links connect, slightly squashed and worn at these areas.
Later import marks to the clasp tongue.
Locket opens to reveal one glazed compartment, currently containing a lock of hair.
Diamond appears bright.
Emeralds appear a well matched bright, deep medium slightly bluish green.
One emerald cracked with significant chips, all generally abraded.
Electronically tests between approximately 18-20ct gold, presumed interference from gilt finish.
Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide and with caution, as false readings are possible.
Case is scuffed and variously discoloured, closes securely.
