Surface scratches and minor marks. General discolouration.
General wear to the gilt finish, noticeably to the frame.
Enamel shows fine cracks.
Sapphire appears a very pale, light greyish blue.
Estimated diameter 5.5mms.
Minimal abrasions.

The feathers tighten in place and are therefore slightly adjustable, one feather is slightly loose than the other, tightened by screwing the central sapphire.

Feathers are lose and flat when in the case.
Electronically tests as approximately 9ct gold and silver, base metal tiara frame.
Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
