An early Georgian gold and black enamel mourning ring, comprising skull and diaper pattern, engraved to the interior 'Sr G Heathcote Bar Ob 25 Jan 1732 at 81', for Sir Gilbert Heathcote.
Ring size G. 5.5gms.
Sir Gilbert Heathcote was the governor of the Bank of England and the Lord Mayor of London in the early 18th century.

Enamel shows abrasion and small losses.
Maker's mark to the interior.
Width 3.8mms.
