A late 19th century gold garnet snake necklace, suspending a similarly-set heart locket.

Condition Report
Surface scratches and minor marks.
Noticeable wear to the back of the head and locket.
Repair connecting the locket to the snake head.
Chain presumed later replacement.
Garnets are closed, presumed foil back settings and appear a well matched deep red and slightly purplish red.
Length of snake head 2.4cms.
Stamped 15ct to the chain.
Electronically tests to reverse of the head as approximately 8-9ct gold.
