An early to mid 19th century gold coiled snake brooch, with ruby crest, suspending three heart locket drops.
Length 3.7cms. 11.8gms.

Condition Report
Surface scratches and minor marks.
General small dents/marks to the hearts.
General dirt/discolouration and areas of white dirt.
One heart drop deficient the gem, slight damages to the mount and minor losses to that cannetille surround.
Hearts with glazed reverse deficient.
Gems are in closed, presumed foil back mounts.
Rubies appear a well matched, bright deep medium slightly purplish red.
Ruby to crest with small chip.
Emerals appears a medium slightly bluish green.
Electronically tests to top of brooch as approximately 19ct gold (pin not tested).
Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
