A Japanese Katana, the slender curved blade with Habaki, bronze Sepoa, Tsuba and Fuchi, each cast with moulded floral decoration, the bound Tsuka with Samegawa detailed with floral Menuki, and Kashira, the lacquered Saya with fittings and Kojiri terminal, the blade signed with three character marks. Together with a military printed form, numbered 11007146, detailing that the recipient of the sword was allowed to be in its possession under the provisions listed within, governing the provision of Japanese trophies, in the reoccupation of Malaya. Blade 26.75" (68cm) long, sword 37.5" (95.25cm) long.
